Build a clear picture of your range

Do not present a laboratory report as proof of insurance. Product documentation and an issued policy answer different questions, and the insurer may still need to review the specific formulation.

Use the checklist below to organise information for an insurance review. It is a preparation aid, not a statement that every document is required in the first application screen. The reviewer may ask for more detail based on your products and business.

Your product information checklist

  • Formulations and directions

Gather current ingredient panels, quantities shown on labels, intended users and directions for every formula.

  • Manufacturers and suppliers

Map each product to its manufacturer and supplier; prepare the batch or lot information available to you.

  • Product claims and documents

Collect current labels, Amazon descriptions and relevant product documentation requested by the reviewer.

  • Business and sales details

Explain your role, sales channels, actual or projected revenue, and prior claims or known incidents accurately.

Enter accurate details in your estimate

Start with your main product category, business location and sales figure. Assureful's initial estimate lets you select monthly or annual sales. Use the period that matches your figure; a $3,000 monthly projection is different from $3,000 annually.

You can begin below $10,000 a month. Do not increase the figure to meet an assumed minimum or omit products that may need review. If your range spans categories, be ready to explain it as the application progresses. Product and business eligibility remain subject to underwriting.

Know what comes after an estimate

An indicative estimate helps you explore pricing; it does not put insurance in force. Complete the required review, examine any offered terms and confirm that a policy has been issued before treating the business as insured.

If Amazon requires proof, check the business details on the issued documents, submit them through the instructions in Seller Central and follow up on their status. Keep a copy of the policy and the product information supplied during the review.

Common questions

Do I need every checklist item to see an initial estimate?

The first estimate screen asks for your main product category, business location and sales. This guide helps you prepare for any further review; additional information may be requested before terms or coverage can be offered.

Can I apply with less than $10,000 in monthly sales?

Yes. Assureful's application accepts sales figures below $10,000 a month. Use your actual sales or a reasonable projection. An estimate does not guarantee product eligibility, an issued policy or Amazon's acceptance of your documents.

Amazon policy source: Commercial liability insurance announcement, checked September 8, 2026. Check the current enhanced-safety category definitions in Seller Central (sign-in may be required). Product checklists and examples are Assureful editorial guidance, not Amazon’s complete category list.

For Mainland China sellers, Amazon’s separate AIA requirement also applies from November 2: new policies submitted must be obtained through AIA; compliant third-party policies submitted beforehand can continue until expiry. Assureful’s current application supports businesses based in the United States and Hong Kong.
